Take a proactive approach to managing your health and wellbeing by reconnecting, re-engaging and recharging. If you are in need of a weekend getaway, some fresh air and quality time for you or with your friends... the MIND BODY BIKE (MBB) Women's Festival is for you!

MBB's intention is to connect and inspire people. It is an extremely supportive and positive environment and the perfect place to challenge yourself to try something new. With this in mind, we have capped the participant numbers so we can continue to deliver a hosted, connected experience for all participants.

We have been hosting women's mountain bike weekend's for over eight years. Beginner, intermediate, advanced and gravity enduro mountain bike weekends are all on offer. However, now in it's third year, MBB is more than just biking.

Our mission is to offer a program that appeals to all women.

Painting, ceramics, cooking classes, photography, wellness (including selfcare, CPR training and low-tox living), plus fitness classes, yoga and pilates.... choose your adventure and create the weekend that's perfect for you.

WEEKEND EXPERIENCES FOR 2019:

With a range of individual workshops or weekend experiences available, we hope you can find a window of time to join us and reap the benefits of connecting within this very supportive environment.

Please note that our bike weekend experiences are all inclusive (excluding dinners) and fill an entire weekend, so unfortunately you will not have time to attend any of the individual workshops listed below. 

BEGINNER BIKE SKILLS
Interested in learning the fundamentals of mountain biking? Let our qualified and supportive female instructors lead you through the basics and give you the confidence and skill to ride single track. The perfect environment to practice and improve, regardless of how much time you have spent on a bike. Practice your skills on Sunday morning with an exhilarating ride down the iconic Delatite River Trail. You will also be shown the key steps of general bicycle maintenance. Includes two nights accommodation (with two breakfasts and two lunches), skills sessions, guided ride and village shuttle, bike maintenance and two yoga/fitness classes. PLUS complimentary entry to the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour on Saturday night.

INTERMEDIATE BIKE SKILLS
A full weekend of mountain biking! Brush up on your skills, learn new tips and enjoy the highs of riding alpine single track. Explore and perfect your handling on Mt Buller's extensive trail network. You will also learn how to care for your bike with a suspension and bike setup class. Includes two nights accommodation (with two breakfasts and two lunches), skills sessions, bike mechanics and two yoga/fitness classes. PLUS complimentary entry to the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour on Saturday night.

INTERMEDIATE ADVANCED BIKE SKILLS - New in 2019
By popular demand we have introduced this new weekend experience to cater to our participants. For solid intermediate riders who may have even attended MBB in the past. This is Intermediate 2.0 - A full weekend of mountain biking to progress your skills to become a smoother and more confident rider. A full weekend of mountain biking! Brush up on your skills, learn new tips and enjoy the highs of riding alpine single track. Includes two nights accommodation (with two breakfasts and two lunches), skills sessions, bike mechanics and two yoga/fitness classes. PLUS complimentary entry to the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour on Saturday night.

GRAVITY ENDURO BIKE SKILLS
For those women who just like to descend.... Our expert instructors will have you riding smoother and faster by providing instant feedback to progress your riding, making you more efficient with greater confidence and flow. Practice and fine tune your skills on Mt Buller's iconic downhill trails. You will also learn how to care for your bike with a suspension and bike setup class. Suitable for beginner to intermediate riders. Includes two nights accommodation (with two breakfasts and two lunches), skills sessions, shuttle pass (two days RRP $110), bike mechanics and two yoga/fitness classes. PLUS complimentary entry to the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour on Saturday night.

GRAVITY ENDURO ADVANCED BIKE SKILLS - New in 2019
You asked, we listened. A second new weekend eperience to the 2019 program, this option is for confident gravity riders looking to fine tune their skills. Work with our expert instructors to perfect your ride style and flow. Suitable for strong riders with solid experience on gravity trail. A great option for riders who spend a good amount of time on their bike, are confident in their ability but are keen to fine tune and become a smoother more efficient rider. All Terrain Cycle's coach, Shannon Rademaker, will work with a small group of riders (1:6) to improve your skill and flow. Includes two nights accommodation (with two breakfasts and two lunches), skills sessions, shuttle pass (two days RRP $110), bike mechanics and two yoga/fitness classes. PLUS complimentary entry to the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour on Saturday night.

INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS FOR 2019:

Do what you love, or try something new.... MBB offers a series of individual workshops to cater for everyone. These sessions and a range of shorter fitness and wellness workshops are bookable individually or bundled up to fill a weekend, see details below. If you are booking one of the bike weekend experiences, your weekend will already be full. Better make plans to attend MBB 2020!

Please note that when booking any of the individual sessions, you will have the option of adding a hospitality package which includes two nights accommodation, two breakfasts, two lunches and two yoga/fitness classes. You will also receive complimentary entry into the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour on Saturday night.

Saturday 9.30am - 12.30pm

Painting: Join Wendy Jagger for a day of painting ‘en plein air’ in Victoria’s beautiful High Country on Mount Buller. Whether you have dabbled a bit in 2D art or are a raw beginner, there is something for everyone. Learn about composition, techniques of gouache painting and revel in the joy of painting in the open air surrounded by the mountains.
$120 per person, includes materials

Delicious and Nutritious: Bringing food and friends together, Spice of Life cooking classes with Andy Kappes provide the opportunity to learn about, create and share food. Following a “summer” theme, learn some new tricks for the barbeque, how to put together interesting and unusual salads and how to “wow” your guests with some zingy summer drinks and light desserts.
$85 per person, includes recipes and lunch. Vegetarian and gluten free options available

Low-Tox Living for Mind, Body and Soul: Learn the fundamentals of creating your own household and self-care/skincare products for emotional wellness. Participants will be taught how to make hand wash, luxurious face elixir and an essential oil roller (which they will take home). Plus have the opportunity to ask questions of expert host, Peta Watson, about her essential oil collection and how she incorporated them into her daily routine.
$60 per person, includes recipes and take home products

CPR Training and First Aid Skills: Learn the complete HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course, plus some first aid skills that will always comes in handy. You can never be over prepared when it comes to an accident or injury. Participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
$65 per person

Beginner Bike Skills: Interested in learning the fundamentals of mountain biking? Join like minded females for a social and supportive morning to progress your bike skills at your own pace. Let our qualified and supportive female instructors lead you through the basics and give you the confidence and skill to ride single track. The perfect environment to practice and improve, regardless of how much time you have spent on a bike.
$65 per person (additional $50 for hardtail mountain bike hire and helmet)

Boxing: A great strength building class, designed to raise the heart rate and encourage that real muscle burn!!! Not only a workout for the body but also challenges your coordination and your brain. Instructed by Louise Hopwood from LouFit Personal Training.
$15 per person, 30 minutes


Saturday 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Porcelain Votive Workshop: Learn the ancient craft of ceramics from local artist, Wendy Jagger. You will create a delicate, nature inspired tea light votive, using beautiful, translucent porcelain. No experience is necessary, and Wendy will give you step-be-step instructions as you learn how to create textured surfaces and join the clay to create your tea light votive.
$120 per person, includes all materials and firing, afternoon tea and coffee

Clean Eating: Join local food expert Claire Hoffman, for an afternoon of fresh and healthy living. Learn the fundamentals of clean eating and the many benefits of preparing food from scratch. Claire will teach you a number of easy recipes to simplify your weekly food prep and promote your overall wellness.
$85 per person, includes recipes and take home products

Photography: Learn how to capture the beauty of the High Country from Landscape and Adventure photographer Matt Hull. Whether you have a basic point and shoot camera or a quality DSLR, learn about composure, lighting and how to get the most out of the equipment you have in a small and friendly group. What do I need? Any camera will do! The clinic is focused on how to get the most out of what you have at hand. Wear some sturdy walking shoes and don't forget to be sun smart and slip, slop, slap.

Mindful Movement - Yoga and Pilates: This 1.5 hr class combines yoga-pilates, mindfulness, plus time for reflection and journalling to tune into your authentic desires. When we tune into both body and mind (and get past the mental chatter), we naturally tap into our inner wisdom and arrive at a place of aligned action in life. Instructed by Uschi Steedman from Positive Moves Pilates.
$25 per person

Guided Ride of Delatite River Trail: The most fun you will have on a mountain bike! Join our expert female instructors on an exhilarating ride down the iconic Delatite River Trail. A classic mountain bike adventure with multiple river crossings as you travel from the village to Mirimbah at the base of Mt Buller.
$135 per person, includes bike hire and shuttle back to the village

Hiitstep Fitness Class: HIITSTEP is a NEW and innovative 30 minute HIIT exercise class using only bodyweight and a STEP. A new program to hit Australia and Mansfield, less than 12 months ago. Designed to bespoke soundtracks that have been created by some of the UK’s top House DJs, HIITSTEP is a high energy class that pushes you to NEW limits. Instructed by Louise Hopwood from LouFit Personal Training.
$15 per person

Mindful Movement - Yoga and Pilates: This 1.5 hr class combines yoga-pilates, mindfulness, plus time for reflection and journalling to get clear on where and how you can create space in your life. We'll explore how to juggle all the pieces with a bit more grace and what it looks like in your life to 'create space' for whatever your heart and soul is calling for. Instructed by Uschi Steedman from Positive Moves Pilates.

ACCOMMODATION

All participants booking a weekend package will be allocated a room at The Bike Club of Victoria - The Whitt. Weekend packages include two nights accommodation, two breakfasts, two lunches and two yoga/fitness classes. Rooms include linen and towels. See accommodation.

Accommodation is twin share (includes ensuite). If you are travelling with friends and would like to share a room, please include their names within the 'Special requirements' box as part of the payment process (up to three people). Please note that groups of five or more people will stay in Kandahar Lodge and qualify for a reduced rate (please use MBBGROUP in the booking process to reduce your nightly rate). Kandahar is located behind The Whitt and has facilities for self catering on Saturday night if needed (open to all guests).

The Whitt is our event hub and the location for breakfast and morning yoga/fitness classes. The venue also acts as a festival hub as most of the activities are hosted in and around this venue.

We would love for you to stay onsite with us to truely receive the complete MBB experience. However you are welcome to stay elsewhere and participate in individual workshops if you have alternative arrangements. Please contact us for a special code to remove the hospitality package from your booking.


BIKE HIRE

Mountain bikes and body armour are available for hire at an additional cost. See allterraincycles.com.au for a full range of hardtail, dual suspension and e-mountain bikes (prices as indicated). All bike hire includes a helmet. Bookings available online as part of the MBB booking process, or call All Terrain Cycles on 03 5775 2724 for assistance in selecting which bike to hire.  


SUNSET GOURMET BARBECUE

Who could beat a delicious barbecue in the mountains? Take in the panoramic vistas and fresh alpine air as the friendly crew from The Whitt host a scenic barbecue for MBB participants (weather permitting). Book any workshop or weekend experience and you will be promoted to add the barbecue as an 'optional extra'.
$30 per person, includes dinner (drinks available at own cost)


MBB WELLNESS ROOM

This year we are pleased to introduce the MBB Wellness Room. We will have massage therapists onsite at The Whitt providing massages on Saturday during the day and evening. Sessions are at the pariticipants expense. More details to come.

We currently have three spots available for Thai Massage. See details below. Bookings online via our booking site.

THAI MASSAGE: Thai massage is a deeply grounding, balancing and mobilising therapy that incorporates massage using hands, feet and elbows - plus facilitated movement and stretching. The practice is wonderful for myofascial release and perfect for active bodies that need some relaxation! One hour treatments available - Book here.

GUTSY GIRLS ADVENTURE FILM TOUR - 8.30pm Saturday night

Mt Buller is excited to host a special screening of the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour. Starting from 8:30pm, it will screen 90 mins of the most inspirational, heart warming and entertaining films celebrating women in adventure from independent film makers around the globe.

The Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour includes a unique selection of films of varying lengths and styles covering topics relevant to women in the outdoors who aren’t afraid to get dirty in their pursuit of adventure.
